Senior Plant Fitter/Foreman - Edinburgh
Our client, a successful dealership is looking to expand their team with the addition of a Senior Plant Fitter/Foreman. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned plant fitter or agricultural engineer looking to make that first step into management.
The Senior Plant Fitter/Foreman role comes with a fantastic basic starting salary of £17.75 per hour
- Hours: 39 basic with an average of around 10 hours overtime per week
- Based on working the average amount of overtime available the OTE is £48,000 - £50,000
- Company van provided and fuel card provided

Senior Plant Fitter/Foreman Key Responsibilities:
- Repairing and maintaining machines on customers sites as required to ensure conformance with manufacturers specification
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork daily
- Mentor the apprentice engineers on an ongoing basis
- Be on hand to support engineers with technical queries and problem solving
Minimum Requirements as a Senior Plant Fitter/Foreman:
- Relevant experience and qualifications. City and Guild, NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or Land Based Engineering - Essential
- Experience in Plant/Agricultural, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
- The ability to organise and distribute work and job cards to engineers and apprentices
- Manage work in progress
- Invoice jobs in a timely fashion; 3 days for warranty,10 days for retail, no jobs older than 60 days
- Work to company response times; breakdowns in 4 hours, routine repairs in 2 days, services in 7 days
- Approve daily timesheets
