Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? My Client is looking for someone to join their existing team to provide support, and assist the senior design engineers, in producing Mechanical Services Design throughout the full project lifecycle.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be undertaking full Mechanical Systems Design and will be working on a variety of projects including Educational, Residential, Commercial and many more
Duties:
- To undertake mechanical design and assist the project manager with various types of projects in accordance with the company aims and policies.
- To assist and be part of the design team and provide Mechanical engineering support to all engineers, Senior and Junior.
- Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
- Carry out surveys and produce reports.
- Carry out quality inspections of projects.
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience and knowledge of current Building Regulations / GLA London Plan / Renewable technologies / Thermal Modelling / SAPs/ SBEM Calculations/ EPCs / BREEAM / Passivhaus Standards / CIBSE TM59 / Overheating strategies and calculations.
- Productions of design calculations both manual and using software
- Knowledge of:- CIBSE Guides, CDM Regulations, British Standards, Revit/BIM, Building Regulations
- Experience using Hevacomp, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project
- Qualified to HNC level or similar

Assisting in Cable Installation:
Work alongside senior technicians to install various types of network cabling, such as Cat 5e, Cat 6, fibre optic, and coaxial cables. Assist with routing and securing cables in walls, ceilings, and floors while adhering to network installation standards

Participate and complete training programme.

Book in samples that arrive in to the stores
Systematically log and catalogue samples in the stores and place on shelving
Receive sample schedules from the Laboratory and/or Engineers and retrieve samples for laboratory testing
Facilitate sorting and delivery of samples for subcontract testing, including specialist concrete design BRE and asbestos screen testing
Return samples from the laboratory to the stores area and re-catalogue
Dispose of samples in accordance with the procedure instructed
Ensure your work station is kept clean and tidy
Building and maintaining good relationships with others in the Laboratory
Complying with relevant H & S regulations and promoting a safety culture within the Laboratory team
Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your line manager
Training:Over 21 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. The Commercial Façade Field Technician actively performs and enforces Company safety policy and program to minimize accidents affecting employees, the public, and property. They will be responsible for attending safety meetings, complying with governmental regulations, reporting, and investigating accidents, and planning site-specific job safety procedures including:
$21-38/hour (not including prevailing wage)

Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Attend and understand daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project. Inspect and ensure safety of surroundings, equipment and tools and identify and discuss any safety concerns. Execution of project tasks with knowledge of expected production rates, ensuring tools and materials are used safely and efficiently to complete the assigned project. Complete the project per the scope or work, design and specification of contract & engineering documents as directed by foreman. Responsible to aid foreman in tracking and monitoring project inventory. Maintains highest quality on-site customer relations in projecting positive image. Has knowledge/understanding and performs work in compliance with all governmental rules and regulations affecting work sites and employees, i.e. OSHA, DOT, EEO/Affirmative Action, EPA, etc. Provides management with earliest possible notification of real and potential job problems. Accepts responsibility for the care, custody, and use of company equipment, material, tools, and other assets as assigned by the WTI Commercial Foreman.
