Experience of contract management and tendering processes in line with established Force procurement practices and frameworks.
An understanding of capital accounting, use of Red Book valuations and RICS service charges code of practice.
Experience of managing and knowledge of RICS GP Surveying, compliant valuations, including asset, market, and insurance.
Experience of preparing and delivering management information, briefings, and reports.
Negotiating and influencing with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications required:
Degree in Business or Facilities Management or equivalent qualification.
Qualification in a relevant Health and Safety area, e.g. IOSH or NEBOSH.
Membership of professional body (e.g. IWFM, CIOB).

Summary:
Carboline is seeking a Facilities Assistant at our Research and Development Facility in St. Louis, MO. This position will assist with maintenance and service of company facilities while ensuring employees' safety. Maintain facilities warehouse storage and shipping/receiving area.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Driver's License. DOT Regulation and hazardous waste experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to consistently lift up to 50lbs. Ability to stand up for long periods of time. Requires lifting, moving from side to side, reaching, bending, sitting, and good eye-hand coordination. May have occasional exposure to chemicals.
Essential Functions:
Ship and receive all packaged goods and supplies. Collect, store and ship various hazardous waste. Assist with the construction and/or rehabilitation of all corporate facilities. Perform daily job assignments necessary for the safe and efficient operation of facilities. Operate a forklift truck. Perform heavy lifting. Take an active role in hazard recognition and injury prevention by following all safety rules & regulations and immediately report all injuries and incidents to your supervisor. Receives annual training in RCRA Hazardous Waste and Carboline's Contingency Plan and will adhere to this training while performing their job. Perform additional duties as assigned Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.

As part of an experienced team, your role will be to complete reactive maintenance around the site this can be changing light sockets/fittings, plumbing, building fabric repairs etc, working to high standards whilst being mindful of where you are working
The Role - Facilities Maintenance Engineer
- Working to complete mechanical or electrical planned or reactive maintenance tasks around the facility
- Working to the highest standard of Health & Safety
- Maintain the fabric and plumbing systems for the buildings
- Be able to work with the operations teams to ensure minimal disruption to the day to day running of the facility
- Doing building plant checks on varying equipment including HVAC systems, Boilers, water treatment plants etc
- Working on initiative and to be able to prioritise the workload as new tasks join the job lists
The Candidate -
- Must have experience within a Building Services or Facilities maintenance position
- Experience performing general building maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical maintenance on infrastructure
- Must hold an apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical Engineering or building services equivalent
- Full UK Driving License and access to own vehicle is essential
- Be a great communicator with a strong work ethic
- Able to work as part of a team and also independently to ensure tasks are completed
