Our partner is actively seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to support the Marcoms Director by collaborating with sales and product teams to develop, deliver and evaluate high-impact and customer-value-driven Marcoms campaigns, covering their Maritime Business unit.

Key Responsibilities for the Marketing & Communications Manager include:
Marketing Communications -
- Planning and supporting effective launch and portfolio campaigns.
- Creating and maintaining customer-focused sales kits highlighting our portfolio benefits to drive sales, including presentations, infographics, and videos.
- Content writing for website, intranet, direct mailings, newsletters, case studies, and social media.
- Delivering commercial content marketing campaigns; researching topics, coordinating strategy, creation, and design.
- Pre- and post-event marketing through invitation mailings, newsletters, and social media.
- Close collaboration with creative agencies and designers.
Digital Marketing and CRM -
- Monitor and assign leads from our website and mailboxes.
- CRM reporting, including ROI, lead generation and customer lifecycle management.
- Help track and present traffic and click-through analysis related to our web portals, newsletters, email campaigns, social media channels and online advertising.
- Support the tracking, monitoring, and updating of Google AdWords and SEO campaigns, working closely with the digital agency and the digital team.
- Conduct regular audits of portfolio presentations on our website and drive user journeys to maximise lead-generation opportunities.
Sales Enablement -
- Ensure regular dialogue with sales to understand and meet their requirements, monitor industry trends, and identify customer pain points.
- Support the RFP/tender process, providing guidance and compelling sales templates that position us as an industry leader.
- Create and maintain customer testimonials.
- Support regional Marcoms campaigns in the Asia Pacific sales territories, with a particular focus on Japan.
Other Miscellaneous Duties -
- Meticulous proofreading of written materials.
- Occasionally attending events to register attendees, manage logistics, set up and support the Marketing Director.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Key Skills & Experience Required by the Marketing & Communications Manager:
- BSc/BA or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or a relevant field.
- At least 3 years experience in digital marketing, marcoms or editorial work.
- Experience with website CMS systems, maintaining and creating web content.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft packages, especially PowerPoint.
- Experience using tools such as SharePoint, Digital design tools, Adobe, WordPress, CRM / Dynamics 365, Canva, and Video editing.
- Ability to present complex technical information in a comprehensive, powerful way.
Desirable Experience -
- Background in the maritime, connectivity or digital solutions industry.
- Understanding of AI marketing tools.
- Knowledge of marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Google Ads, SEO software.

We are on the lookout for an experienced Director of Business Development to join a manufacturing business in Greater Manchester whose reputation in the market is enviable. Working closely with Directors and the Senior Management Team, the Director of Business Development will lead strategic and practical efforts. The focus is on building strong client relationships, growing revenue from current accounts, and coming up with plans for lasting client acquisition and revenue increase. You will work with marketing to improve lead generation and sharing market insights to help the Board and SMT make informed decisions. This is a new role for the company and gives you the opportunity to set the standard, drive growth and develop a team from scratch.
The Role:
Grow existing accounts and implement strategies to acquire new customers, optimising penetration opportunities.
Identify and assess business opportunities and markets, aligning strategies with key business goals.
Define a go-to-market strategy encompassing offerings, marketing, and key messages.
Establish new business relationships, maintain high-level contacts with current customers and project partners.
Represent the company at events/functions and deliver presentations to prospective clients.
Ensure a comprehensive understanding and representation of the business in all interactions.
Provide Monthly Business Development progress reports for the Directors.
Conduct site visits to meet with clients, report on performances, and identify opportunities.

Who are we looking for?
Extensive experience in devising and implementing commercially focused business strategies.
Demonstrate a strong commercial focus and a track record of driving profitability.
Capable of public speaking and representing the company at various events.
Have international business-to-business experience and display a customer-first mindset internally and externally.
Showcase the ability to assess risks associated with potential business opportunities.
Hold a relevant degree in Construction, Engineering, or have suitable experience in the Electrical Construction industry.
Previous experience in industrial Coatings and paints is advantageous.
Essential senior-level Business Development experience.
Possess a strong commercial and technical background and/or understanding.
Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word.

Our client is looking for an Employment Solicitor to work in their Newcastle upon Tyne office to undertake a varied workload of employment matters advising employers in a variety of sectors, including health and social care, central government, telecommunications, retail, and insurance work.
You will be expected to:
Progress and manage a wide variety of client matters both contentious and non-contentious, and of varying complexity and scale.
Manage own matters, time and relationships with minimum supervision.
Maintain an awareness of the appropriate limits of own competence/authority.
Actively identify and exploit business development opportunities and marketing activity for team clients and own contacts.
Participate in and initiate marketing / network activities in order to maintain and develop work from existing clients and potential clients.
This includes presenting and assisting in client and other external seminars, taking part in pitches and contributing positively to business development.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge through leading and attending training sessions, reading appropriate publications and exceeding Law Society CPD requirements.
Support the effective running of the team e.g. contributing to team meetings, reviewing reports and documents of more junior fee earners and providing guidance and feedback, assisting with the allocation of work.
Provide support for colleagues where appropriate e.g. progressing matters in colleagues’ absence, providing technical supervision and skills development, supporting CRM activities.
Continually monitoring and taking responsibility for own financial performance and demonstrating proactive financial management; attention to billing regimes, credit control, debt collection, accounting procedures and client service level agreements.
Handle confidential data in line with the firm's data security protocols.
The Ideal Candidate will be a qualified Senior Associate or Legal Director (including aspirational candidates) ideally from 6PQE+.
Must have experience of handling tribunal claims from start to finish. Supervising others to do the same is desirable, as is civil and/or appellate court experience (EAT, High Court, Court of Appeal etc).
Must have experience of contentious and non-contentious matters, and preferably experience of advising transactional projects involving restructures, TUPE, collective consultation as well general advisory work with clients on senior level or strategic issues, such as executive terminations or collective / industrial relations issues.
Prior experience of working with or advising large institutional employers in heavily regulated sectors (e.g. health, local and central government, PLCs) would be advantageous.
Good academic record, together with experience in a firm dealing with respondent work.
Independent thinker with a focus on generating commercial solutions to problems on behalf of clients. Up to date knowledge of key trends in order to maintain credibility in conversations with clients.
Confident communicator with an ability to develop relationships, undertake client marketing and influence at all levels, in particular HR Director/General Counsel level.
Enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach, and demonstrates role model behaviours at all times. Track record of business development is desirable.
Salary dependant on experience.
