Location of the position: Tamworth The successful CNC Operator will be able to demonstrate the ability to work to the high standards set by and will have a proven track record of operating CNC woodworking machinery, such as routers or other woodworking CNC machines. Working with Homag or Weeke Router machines is preferred but not essential, other woodworking machinery experience would also be considered. Duties of the CNC Operator opportunity
Loading large sheets to router machines
Loading correct programs from computer library to machine via job card information
Adding removing tools to machines as required
Alerting feeds and speeds locally on machines to improve cut quality
Operate more than one machine during long machine cycles
Interpret engineering drawings

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Filler/Packager is responsible to fill product using at least one of the different types of packaging machines. The operator will organize the area, collect materials such as pails, cans, cartridges or films, and set up the filling and packaging equipment. Responsibilities include gathering required labels and casing materials. Production Order card must be read and followed exactly as to correct packaging including labeling of cans and cases, etc. Operator is responsible to report correct counts of production for the shift and report downtime information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Neatly assemble and place all required materials from the fill card to be used in their appropriate location throughout the shift. Read and follow filling procedures to package material into cartridges, chubs, or one, two and five-gallon units. Follow and meet the established production schedules. Properly use the filling equipment and maintain cleanliness of the work area following written standard operating procedures. Assist in the waste segregation and recycling program. Communicate written and verbal information between the Foreman and Production Manager. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety regulations. Track progress throughout assigned shift by completing overall equipment effectiveness documents.
EDUCATION:
No high school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift certification preferred, or willing to obtain.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Basic computer skills required (Windows familiarity). LEAN and VFM (Visual Factory Management) skills and/or willingness to train. Position Summary:
Responsible for manufacturing at acceptable efficient levels while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Functions:
Manufacture batches of product in Basket Mill and HSD. Maintain cleanliness of vessel, gates, blade, blade underside, shaft, manufacture lids and storage lids. Utilize various scales as required. Properly transact raw material from inventory utilizing scanners. Relocate material tanks/containers to place of origin. Write off drum heals as required. Perform inventory cycle counts as required. Properly record times, temperatures, and QCT's of batches as required. Comply with all company safety policies. Maintains a clean work environment. Follows all departmental policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must either have forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test. Steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses (side shields as needed) are required. A variety of gloves, aprons, respirators, and other PPE are available as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and training.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Routinely lifts, carries, and moves raw materials or company products weighing up to 100+ pounds. Employees may be standing/kneeling/walking on concrete for approximately 90% of the workday.
