They are a firm of construction consultants offering clients both cost management and project management services.
They have several offices including in the UK and the USA.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor who is currently working for a UK or US firm of PQS.
You need to have a BSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management or Construction Economics.
You need to have experience of working on projects for landlords or occupiers to include office fit-outs and office refurbishments.
You need to have good pre contract Quantity Surveying experience.
You should be keen to make a long term move to the USA unless you are already there.
You will need to have a 1 to 3 years or more experience post chartership (MRICS qualified).
You should be able to work as part of a friendly team.
You should have a stable work record with experience gained either in the UK, Ireland or the USA ideally.
You must have excellent English both written and spoken along with good IT skills and have good client facing skills.

I am currently working on a great opportunity to join a Legal 500, multi-sector law firm as a Conveyancing Assistant in Manchester. This firm are known to be a leading law firm based within the North West.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- To support the firm in the provision of legal services by providing legal assistance to Conveyancers and clients.
- Preparing and collating online quotations using the electronic quote tool. Including preparing initial quotes, liaising with potential clients and assisting with queries, through to successful instruction.
- To assist Conveyancers in the management of their caseload by undertaking legal procedures as supervised by the Conveyancer.
- To assist Conveyancers with file-related queries, either by telephone or face-to-face, ensuring client service levels and client standards are always adhered to.
- To ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
- To attend to clients, take instructions, and conduct letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
- To open and process post in accordance with the firms procedures.
- Updating the case management system/client systems as appropriate to ensure compliance.
- Preparing files and closing and archiving.
Requirements:
- Strong technical skills
- At least 12 months of experience in commercial property or conveyancing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service

To manage a portfolio of accounting and tax clients to ensure they are compliant with statutory requirements, to assist them with internal management reporting processes and to advise on ways to minimise their tax liabilities.
Key activities include but are not solely limited to:
To manage a portfolio of clients to ensure their companies’ accounts and corporation tax returns are prepared accurately and promptly;
To prepare and submit VAT returns for a variety of clients;
To process and submit payroll for a variety of clients;
To ensure that all clients are notified in good time of their tax payment due;
To identify tax planning opportunities;
To assist with the management reporting process by preparing management reports, making journal entries, processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliation, etc;
To assist with FCA reporting for clients in the banking and investment industry;
To manage a portfolio of personal clients to ensure their tax returns are prepared accurately, and that they are promptly informed of their self-assessment liabilities;
To liaise with HMRC;

Fully ACCA qualified
