I am seeking a Project Manager in the Building Construction industry who has fluent German or at least German at C1 level and good English to join a firm of construction consultants in Germany to join their busy and friendly office in Munich.
You will work closely with a senior project manager or Associate project manager to help with the delivery of high value building projects.
You will work on construction projects from feasibility through project delivery dealing with cost, budgets, quality, risk management, coordination, monitoring, specifications, coordination of tenders and more.
My client is working on a range of projects including offices, hotel and leisure, mixed use, residential and more.
You should have excellent communication skills in order to attend meetings, deal with contractors on site, speak with the client etc.
You will be an ambitious person who is keen to join a firm for a long term career and to move up within the company.
THE COMPANY
My client is a successful firm of construction consultants providing clients with Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
THE CANDIDATE
You will be Degree qualified in a construction related subject e.g. Construction Management, Construction Project Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering or other Building Construction subject.
You may be chartered or be working towards chartered status in project management.
You are likely to be at Assistant or Junior Project Manager level currently with a year or two PM experience.
You will be keen to progress your career with a firm of consultants doing project management and project co-ordination.
You will need to have had some experience in the use of MS Project or Primavera or similar.
Ideally you will have been working for a firm of building construction consultants or worked client-side.
You must have an understanding of commercial and economic aspects of construction projects for budgets, cash flow etc.
You will need fluent or at least good German at C1 level. Good English is also required.
Good communication skills are essential and to have the ability to deal with people at all levels.
You should be able to run projects with the help of a Senior Project Manager.
Salary is negotiable according to experience but in the region of Euro 50000 to 65000 per annum depending on your experience plus other benefits including a discretionary bonus scheme.

The Ideal Candidate

Strong technical and organisational skills to ensure a pragmatic and methodical approach to handling a variety of clinical negligence claims simultaneously, through an IT case management system.

Our client, a reputable financial services firm, is looking for a dynamic Investment Operations Administrator to join their Edinburgh team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to support for Investment Managers, Portfolio Managers, and clients, handling administrative tasks and ensuring smooth operations across the board.
Essential Skills/Experience:
Experience gained working in an investment operations role within Wealth or Investment Management
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to engage with clients, Professional Advisers, Investment Managers, product providers and internal stakeholders
Passion and energy to deliver successful outcomes for advisers and clients
Excellent organisation, planning and prioritising skills
Strong attention to detail
Core Responsibilities:
Answer & respond to client queries on the phone and email
Initiate incoming and outgoing transfers, keeping the Investment Manager/ Portfolio Manager updated with progress regularly
Liaise with appropriate teams for the effective onboarding of new clients
Instruct internal transfers of cash and stock from one portfolio to another
Complete client KYC data amendments and account amendments
Assist with meeting preparation, including printing and binding client and introducer reports and presentations
Complete payment instructions from clients, including taking payment instructions and arranging call backs to clients, if required

My client has been delivering an industry leading service to clients throughout the UK for nearly 40 years. Specialising in housing litigation, fighting for tenants living in sub-standard accommodation to bring landlords to account.

The role:
The successful applicant will handle a caseload of pre and post-litigated claims brought primarily under Sections 9a and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Focusing on all aspects of housing disrepair claims, you will handle cases from inception to conclusion, complying with the Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Conditions.
Key tasks:
- Run a caseload of pre- and post-litigation housing conditions claims on behalf of tenants
- Comply with Pre Action-Protocol for Housing Disrepair Claims
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Landlord & Tenant Act
- Draft Letters of Claim
- Collation of special damages
- Review housing records to assess liability
- Review surveyors reports Claimant and Defendant
- Negotiation and settlement
- Mediation
- Liaise with counsel
- Issue Court Proceedings
- Use Proclaim (claims management software) competently and effectively, ensuing that business process and policy is adhered to
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Liaise with and build positive and professional relationships across the business
- Carry out other duties, as and when required, to assist in the smooth running of the business
The successful applicant:
Our team structure means that we can support applicants with varying degrees of prior experience and have successfully supported several staff who have re-trained from fast paced litigation backgrounds such as personal injury.
Successful candidates will be confident communicators with a high level of written and verbal skills and good attention to detail. You must be well organised and able to work in a busy environment with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight timescales.
It is preferable that candidates be educated to degree level, and those applying for more senior fee earning roles may possess FILEX, ILEX qualifications or similar experience.
Experience:
- Housing Disrepair experience essential, we would also consider applicants with significant (10 years plus) contentious civil litigation experience
- Able to bill work at Grade B or above
- Case Management System (Proclaim is used) experience is a must to be able to handle volume litigation
- Demonstrable experience of being able to work at pace, with ability to manage competing priorities within own caseload
- Have experience of litigating own matters
- Highly organised and self-motivated.
