You will be part of an experienced civils team in Taunton, with wider team support across the South-West, where you will work across a number of transformational, high-profile development infrastructure projects. You will work within an engineering team liaising with clients, fellow professionals and other disciplines within the office and across our business and will gain experience supporting all phases of the project life cycle, from feasibility through to construction.
Assisting with technical input into a variety of projects, your duties could include:

Responsabilidades: Preparar licitaciones para la construcción de proyectos fotovoltaicos, negociar y ejecutar contratos de construcción.Coordinar y preparar los trabajos preliminares antes del inicio de la construcción (topografía, geotecnia, hidrología, pruebas de tracción, etc.).Desarrollar el presupuesto de construcción, el plan de ejecución y el seguimiento de gastos.Supervisar y controlar la ejecución de las obras.Supervisar los contratos EPC en términos de plazos, costes, alcance, calidad y cumplimiento contractual para lograr los hitos requeridos.Garantizar el cumplimiento de la normativa vigente, especificaciones de seguros, estándares de calidad de la empresa, seguridad en obra y protección medioambiental.Asegurar el cumplimiento de las obligaciones administrativas relacionadas con licencias y permisos.Controlar la calidad de la documentación y la ingeniería.Realizar visitas a obra para revisar el avance, las condiciones de ejecución y la calidad del trabajo.Coordinar diferentes compras y contratos para la correcta ejecución de las obras.Certificar el cumplimiento de hitos contractuales y administrativos.Preparar y presentar documentación, coordinar con distribuidores y administraciones, y gestionar los procesos administrativos para la legalización y puesta en marcha del proyecto.Coordinar con las autoridades locales para el cumplimiento de los requisitos de permisos.Liderar reuniones semanales y mensuales con el contratista EPC, el Owner’s Engineer, el responsable de HSE y otros actores del proyecto.Informar periódicamente sobre el progreso del proyecto.Gestionar la transferencia de los proyectos al equipo de operaciones una vez alcanzada la puesta en marcha.Brindar apoyo a los distintos departamentos involucrados (desarrollo, ingeniería, financiación, comercialización).Requisitos del puesto: Grado en Ingeniería Civil, Mecánica, Eléctrica, Industrial o Energética.Al menos 5 años de experiencia en gestión de proyectos dentro del sector de ingeniería y construcción de plantas fotovoltaicas, preferiblemente en el lado del contratista en lugar del cliente.Imprescindible dominio del paquete Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).Se valorarán conocimientos de PVsyst y AutoCAD.Imprescindible dominio del español e inglés; se valorará el francés. As an apprentice you will be:
Working on machinery in the Mechancial workshop to create your own tools and parts
Working on Lathes machines and milling machinery
Following instructions to create and wire your own panels
Programming of panels and fault finding in electrical workshop
Working as part of a team on projects related to your workplace
Machine and equipment maintenance
Fault finding and diagnostics & continuous improvement
Using preventative maintenance systems
Restoring components undertaking repair, replacement and servicing
The four-year engineering apprenticeship will initially cover broad based training and grounding in Electrical and Mechanical skills at Waterside Training in St Helens with years 2,3 and 4 working on plant at Halewood alongside qualified craftsmen in either an Electrical or Mechanical discipline whilst continuing to attend college day release up to Level 4 HNC.Training:Apprentices will complete a programme of both theoretical and practical learning over a four-year period. Initially, based at Waterside Training (WA9 1TW) undertaking broad based training during year 1 in Electrical and Mechanical techniques before moving to a programme of working on site for a global organisation with experienced engineering technician's tackling “real life” activities. You will receive both vocational and academic training on and off site.
During the first year from September 2025 to July 2026 you will develop your skills and knowledge by attending Waterside Training Limited on a block release basis to carry out foundation training in Electrical and Mechanical techniques working from 8:45am to 4:30pm.
Over the first two years you will complete a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Engineering giving both academic and workshop skills. Additional training will also be completed during your apprenticeship to cover the requirements of the programme such as Health & Safety Training, Lean Manufacturing and specific training as required by the company.
From July 2026, you will commence your full site based training at Ford (L24 9LE), 4 days per week with day release to continue your academic training. Your site based work will follow the Level 3 Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician standard and you will continue to attend your company site for the remainder of your apprenticeship programme.Training Outcome:
You will be a fully qualified HNC Engineer in either a Mechanical or Electrical discipline with the option to continue on to a HND Course and will then be in full time employment with the prospect of promotion
