Night Shift (Continuous Operations C & D Shift) Hiring Event for Material Handlers at our Martinsburg Distribution Center.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Our Dryvit Engineering Intern will work in conjunction with the Plant Manager, EHS Manager and others to support safety, quality, maintenance, and production processes while learning and utilizing our established process tools such as Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement and Lean tools including 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control and Value Stream Mapping and familiarizing themselves with plant SIOP and the implications of forecasting in a seasonal manufacturing cycle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leading small projects for improvement of a process or output. Collecting data for process waste reduction and presenting solutions for improvement. Participating in facility audits and Gemba walks. Preparing Root Cause Analysis reports for incidents as assigned. Assisting in project management of multi-phase projects. Editing or creating piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). Driving continuous improvement processes. Generating MPST projects to drive cost savings and improve efficiency. Working alongside plant leadership to identify, document and execute capital expense projects. Conducting and/or participating in meetings, communicating information or collaborating on site-specific projects. Learning and understanding our MS168 process. Interacting with plant staff and senior leaders as part of the daily, weekly, monthly tier meeting cadence.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical or mechanical engineering at an accredited college or university. Must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior in good academic standing.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior experience is necessary, requires the propensity for learning, openness to training and a continuous improvement mindset.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in MS Tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.). SAP experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Capital Plan

This includes working with the plant operational teams on providing training, writing appropriate standard operating procedures, and maintenance training plans & parts. Design to incorporate Lean principles to improve reliability, ease of use & maintenance, minimize changeover times, and to minimize production losses.
Safety
Responsible for achieving and maintaining safety goals relative to the maintenance and engineering functions. Responsible for safety devices, safe design, etc. of all equipment. Administer process hazard analyses (PHA's) for identified materials, processes, and RHP Compliance
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical Engineering is preferred. ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
The primary result expected from the Floating Night Shift Supervisor is to supervise the people at the facility and ensure the safe manufacture of products. This is done by organizing and executing the shift production work schedule (as dictated via the production plan), to maintain a safe, efficient and organized working environment, and to provide leadership/guidance to all shift personnel. This person will work in conjunction with both the 2nd shift and 3rd shift supervisors, when they are present and also cover either 2nd or 3rd shift, as needed when the supervisors are on vacation or call off sick.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensures that all plant operations adhere to DayGlo business and RPM corporate EH&S requirements, procedures, reporting and programs. Direct and coordinate the activities of all employees on the shift, in all departments. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. Ensure the planning and scheduling of orders for plant production to maximize use of manpower and fulfill customer service requirements. Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between plants. Confer with management and others to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Interpret specifications, work orders, and company policies and procedures for employees. Gathers information, completes, and distributes end of shift reports. Enforce work rules and administer discipline as required. Apply MS-168/Continuous Improvement principles to all aspects of the manufacturing process to drive improvement in production efficiency, product quality, and employee engagement. Ensure effective MS-168 Tier 1 meetings across departments. Ensure all departments are maintained in a clean, orderly and efficient fashion through utilization of 5S principles. Train, motivate, and manage the hourly production staff within the manufacturing process. Oversee performance skills matrix updates, initiates commendations, improvement plans and disciplinary action, as required. Work with/coordinates efforts between Quality Control, Engineering, R&D, and Maintenance departments for continual improvement of production efficiency and quality. Prepares and maintains accurate data reporting and analysis, as required, and provides management with appropriate information.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
3 - 5 years departmental/plant experience in a Chemical manufacturing environment, preferably with liquid tint dispersions. Must be a role model from an EH&S standpoint. Must possess proper supervisory skills to ensure all direct reports and efficiently together to achieve business goals. Must possess an ability to solve problems and work effectively to motivate/influence people.

What will you do?

Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx. $15,000 - $50,000

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Commercial Sealant & Waterproofing products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance. This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide or obtain accurate and timely product application, qualification, and/or troubleshooting services to internal colleagues and external business partners Assist with general on-site product application, training, and general substrate review. Assist with the generation and maintenance of technical documentation and collateral with various internal departments. Examples include application instructions, technical data sheets, technical marketing collateral, product training programs, 3rd party testing/validation reports, and other product assets. Assist in the collection of laboratory data forproject and/or product-specific testing. Assist with and/or perform in-field and in-house analytical lab testing to confirm the chemical compatibility and physical adhesion properties of Tremco products on specified jobs, for evaluating new areas of application, new product development, and competitive product analysis. Conduct jobsite observations/evaluations with customers and field sales reps to make accurate and timely product and installation recommendations. Compose official letters and/or corporate communiques, including installation instructions, job qualification parameters, and competitive product comparisons along with assisting in the development of detail drawings to help secure sales opportunities. Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions. Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques. Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio. Learn assigned core product line technology while assisting higher level Application Specialists with occasional direction. Provide clear written and verbal technical support and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders including sales representatives, technical representatives, owners, architects, engineers, contractors, installers, etc.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree inScience, Civil Engineering,Construction Management or similarfield; High School Diploma or GED and 4-7 years related experience required, in lieu of college degree.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of Technical Service, Technical Sales, or Construction Industry experience required with a Bachelor's degree in Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field; or 4-7 years of Technical Service, Technical Sales, or Construction Industry experience with a high school diploma or GED. Experience installing any type of exterior finish products such as metal panels, and framing is required.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, in Word, Excel, etc. Autocad is nice to have Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities. Effective team player. Self-motivated and driven. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. Must be passport-eligible. Hands-on and conceptual mechanical aptitude. Valid have a valid driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift up to 50 lbs.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The position requires work in office, lab, and construction site environments.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION:
The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $52,960 and $66,000 plus a 12.5% bonus opportunity. I&C engineer and supported by I&C technician team. Responsible for the design and review of all I&C equipment and instruments for the Plant. Explore solutions to production problems or improve efficiency with maintenance and operators. Run experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes, and become familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures. Work and coordinate activities with the other engineering disciplines, Process, Project and Environmental. Prepare, review and/or approve of instrument specification data sheets and submit purchase requisitions for approval. Prepare equipment lists, instrument index, I/O lists. Review process flow diagrams and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs). Meet with plant technical staff to discuss technical information and features. Ensure drawings, specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements. Participate in failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and Process Hazard analysis (PHA) to consider equipment, personnel, and environmental safety. Knowledge of capital approval process and project justification required. Be involved in the design and development of equipment and work procedures. Be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating process hazard analysis. Ensures necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines. Takes responsibility for I&C Engineering Change Management system. Coordinate and approve all sample submissions of new products and engineering changes through the Product Development Program. Assists in identifying the root causes of a problem and instituting corrective action such as changes to batch sheets, generation of Engineering Change Requests, changes in workstations, changes to inspection analyses and changes to process procedures. Provide recommendations to improve procedures that apply to quality and operations functions. Be responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Review quality trends based on quality data system information and interaction with production personnel and participate in the generation and implementation of defect-reduction programs. Investigate quality improvement opportunities and complaints with Director, Plant Manager and Research and Development. Prepare for and represent the company during all ISO and related audits. Review all design drawings and changes, process procedures, test procedures, procurement documents, and inspection analyses to ensure that the divisions and customers quality requirements are met on assigned products, programs, areas, and functions. Provide support to maintenance and operation group including visual aids and inspection analyses.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Preferred, 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electrical Schematic and panel layout design using CAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical) experience. Experience in the design of programmable logic controllers (PLC) or distributed control system (DCS) based controls systems. Expertise in National Electrical Code requirements in industrial facilities and hazardous locations. Proven understanding of integrating instrumentation with data acquisition hardware. Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment. Familiar with industrial sensors and actuators; pressure, temperature, accelerometers, motor controllers, flow meters, relays, strain gauges, valves, and pumps. Strong technical and non-technical writing and verbal skills Able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
