Offline CNC Programmer with EDGECAM CAD/CAM experience required ASAP for a permanent position in the Knutsford Area. The salary is up to £32,500 DoE + Bens. The basic working week is 37.5 hours, Mon to Fri 8:00am – 4:30pm with hybrid working available upon successful completion of training.

Job Purpose: To generate programs to produce components on in-house CNC machines.
The successful Offline CNC Programmer (EDGECAM) day to day duties will include:
Produce programs for in house CNC manufactured items from drawings received from Design Engineers.
Inform Design Engineers of billet sizes for BOM purposes for tooling. Ensure CNC programs are available for release to the machine operator through DNC link.
Produce Pro-Report drawing for use by machine operator.
Liaise with shop floor to relay accurate machining information.
Assist the Design Team where appropriate.
Ensure that all documentation is maintained on a day to day basis.
Ensure that all information is stored in the appropriate manner
Assist colleagues and customers with problems that arise offering practical and appropriate solutions.
Deal professionally, competently and courteously with customers and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
Support the Production Office Coordinator in monitoring and maintaining schedules and plans to
Reflect changes in priorities and deadlines
The ideal Offline CNC Programmer (EDGECAM) will have the following experience / characteristics:
Completed relevant engineering apprenticeship such as a CNC / Manual machinist, Toolmaker, Mechanical Engineer.
Recent experience of using Hexagon’s EDGECAM CADCAM offline CNC programming software
Previous experience of setting and operating CNC Milling machines.
Able to read engineering drawings and use had held dimensional measuring equipment.
Must have undertaken formal training in CNC programming
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Highly motivated and keen to succeed.
Attended training courses run by relevant software / machine manufacturers (advantageous)
PTC / Creo (Pro-Manufacture or Pro-Engineer) programming experience (advantageous)
Experience of manufacturing components, jigs and fixtures in a variety of metals to fine tolerances (advantageous)

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture components to given spec.
Perform tool changes, fixture adjustments, and machine offsets to ensure precise and efficient machining processes.
Monitor machine operations and conduct regular quality checks to verify the accuracy and consistency of the produced components.
Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve overall efficiency.
For the CNC Miller role, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:
Ideally a recognised Apprenticeship within Mechanical Engineering, Machining or similar (NVQ Level 3 or higher) – this is not essential
Worked as a CNC Miller, Machinist, Programmer, Engineer or Technician previously within a precision engineering or machine shop environment
The ability of independently programming using ISO or conversational controls
Working Hours of the CNC Miller:
Standard day shift - 40 hours per week.
Monday to Thursday - 07:30AM – 17:30PM
Friday - 07:30AM – 11:30PM
In return the CNC Miller will receive:
Renumeration: Up to £36,000 per annum (£18 per hour)

We’re looking for a talented CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator (FANUC) with experience of machining components in exotic materials for a permanent role for our client in Skelmersdale / Wigan area. £32,000- £34,000 pa (dependent on experience and qualifications). Based in Skelmersdale, as the CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator you will be primarily responsible for programming and operating CNC machines.
In the CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator role, you’ll be tasked with the following:
Use of steadies to machine components up to 4M long.
To ensure supplied product meets all customer requirements.
Documenting all Required Data and Reporting in correct manner.
Ensuring inspection equipment in a known state of calibration is used for checking customer product.
For ensuring that the unique part identity and status of products handled is maintained
For working safely and following company safety codes.
Must be time served (NVQ 3 or equivalent). Experience in a previous or similar position (3 years minimum)
Have a good understanding of ISO 9001/2015 quality systems.
Good planning and organisation skills along with good communications skills both with peers and management.
The standard working hours for this position are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:30 or shifts where deemed required.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator role will have relevant experience of establishing tool requirements.
You’ll also need experience of reading, writing and understanding CNC programs in FANUC (essential).
Plus, it’s vital that you’ve got experience of generating programs offline using CAPT CAD Cam system or One CNC.
In addition, you’ll need the ability to read and understand drawings and the ability to use and read a range of measuring equipment to perform the CNC Turner Programmer Setter Operator role.
