Role: Supply Chain Coordinator
Location: Outskirts of Maidstone (Office Based)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am until 5pm
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum + Benefits
KHR has partnered with a leading distribution company who are actively looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team during a time of growth within the business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is seeking growth and development within the Supply Chain sector.
Duties:
- Assisting with stock management, forecasting and stock movement between internal sites and assisting with stock query investigations
- Assisting with supply chain management, and admin for deliveries direct to our customers and own sites including the processing of supplier non-conformance complaints with BRCGS procedure
- Placing purchase orders with suppliers, confirming delivery dates and following up on goods in bookings
- Liaising with our Operations, Customer Service and Sales teams on stock requirements
- Updating supplier BRCGS documentation held on a central system
- Processing invoices
- Assisting with new customer enquiries from concept to conversion/closure, keeping records up to date throughout the process
- Customs clearance
- Placing stationery orders
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience within a similar role is essential
- Experience dealing with BRCGS procedures would be beneficial but not essential
- Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Good level of written and spoken English
- Problem-solving skills
- I.T Literate
- Dynamic, motivated, reliable team player

Summary:

The Roofing Specialist is a critical team member of our Professional Roofing Sales team. Experience effectively and proactively managing customer expectations throughout the investigation/troubleshooting process. Ability to prioritize work. Ensures safe execution and delivery of all roofing services and operations. Provides a variety of technical training sessions in the contractor's office and field applications. Provide hands on application training and supervision of roof coatings and installation. Performs roof inspections and generates written reports on condition analysis, photo documentation, recommendation and material budget estimates. Communicates professionally with our customers, distributors, Rust-Oleum sales representatives, national account executives and corporate staff. Completes weekly/monthly reports, sales activities and proposals. Conducts Pre-project field inspections and technical support, including but not limited to: Adhesion tests Product recommendations Proper product installation Product diagnostic support to ensure proper selection and product usage. Provides an on-going sales support, training and development to contractors. Function as a direct line of contact to the contractors & distributors, in the designated area, to ensure a consistent working relationship with the existing contractor base, keeping them informed and trained on Rust-Oleum's product line, new products introduced and where to buy. Develops new contractors in the area by training on product systems and their usage. Develops and grows distributor relationships to sell the Rust-Oleum Roof Coatings program. Travel within the assigned territory and complete expense reports on a timely basis.
Required Skills:

The primary focus of this role will be on inventory management, with an emphasis on managing excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory, collaborating across departments, and standard costing of raw materials and components. The successful candidate will play a vital role in optimizing our inventory processes and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
E&O Inventory Management: Analyze and monitor excess and obsolete inventory levels. Work closely with the procurement and production teams to implement inventory reduction initiatives. Regularly review and update E&O inventory reserve and update based on RPM policies. Act as a liaison between finance and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. Standard Costing & Month End Close: Establish and maintain standard costs for raw materials and components. Analyze and review standard costs to ensure accuracy and relevance. Assist in the development of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements related to standard costing. Assist with cost estimates for new and existing business opportunities. Work with operations team to ensure all accruals are booked. Create biweekly inventory and cost reports for the business leaders. Physical Inventory Audits: Plan and execute periodic physical inventory counts. Coordinate with operations teams to ensure accurate and timely inventory counts. Analyze discrepancies and investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies. Implement corrective actions to address inventory discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy. Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits related to inventory. Participate in audit meetings and provide support to auditors as needed. Address audit findings and implement recommendations to strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Travel: Up to 25% travel may be required for this role, including visits to regional offices, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities as necessary to support inventory management initiatives and audits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. 1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably with a focus on inventory management.
