Our client is a well-established transport services provider, operating a variety of commercial and tendered public bus services
The Role:
As a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician, you will play a pivotal role in servicing and repairing vehicles according to regulations.
Responsibilities:
? Routine maintenance to DVSA standards.
? Preparation for MOT inspections.
? Vehicle diagnosis using diagnostic equipment.
? Maintain tidy workspace to meet H&S standards.
? Ensure completion of paperwork.
Requirements:
? Previously worked as a Bus Mechanic, PSV Technician or in a similar role.
? Completed recognised apprenticeship as a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician
? NVQ Level 2 or 3 in heavy vehicle repair and maintenance or equivalent.
? Experience with public service vehicles. (Preferred)
? Full UK driving licence.

What Youll do

- Give customers on the bus any information that may help them during their journey.

- Recognise and assist with the additional needs of children and vulnerable adults, the elderly, infirm or people with disabilities.
- Check the condition of the vehicle prior to commencing service
- Carrying out the safety walk round check. Ensuring that any defect in the vehicle or equipment is reported as soon as possible to the right person.

I am currently working with an independent specialist installer who is looking expand their team with the addition of a Mobile Telematics installer.
If you are looking to get out of the workshop and become mobile than this is the role for you.
You dont need to be a master tech, training is provided although a little experience around working on vehicles is needed, the rest will be taught through training.
