• Madson Black is seeking an Apprentice SolidWorks Designer to develop bespoke chandeliers, decorative lighting and architectural metalwork. • A good basic knowledge of SolidWorks, including parts, assemblies and drawings, is essential. Working with experienced designers and craftspeople, you will develop 3D models and manufacturing drawings while learning engineering, materials, production, 3D printing and traditional craftsmanship.Training:Qualifications included:
Engineering Design Technician Apprenticeship Standard. Company Training Plan & Assessment.
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge (1 day per week for 2 years at college)Development Competence Qualification (workplace)

Level 2 Functional Skills - English (If required)
End Point Assessment at the end of the apprenticeship
Training Outcome:
This apprenticeship offers excellent long-term career prospects within Madson Black. The successful candidate can progress from Apprentice Designer to Designer and Senior Designer, taking increasing responsibility for complete projects.

Ba an integral part of the Nico QC team
Assist with inspection of in house manufactured and incoming goods
Liaise with internal colleagues, suppliers and occasionally customers to support engineering projects and drive product quality
Interpret technical product drawings and their relevant tolerances
Use a range of precision measuring instruments for quality control purposes
Support the introduction of new products and assist with release of up-issued technical documents
Assist with calibration of measuring instruments
Support product quality management activities, including inspections and segregation of any non-conforming product or material
Maintain accurate technical documentation and records
Assist with ISO and quality management processes to support continuous improvement across the business
Training:
The apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprenticeship Standard
Qualifications include the EAL Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and manufacturing support technologies
