As a shared service, this local authority cases across many different aspects of public children law for six separate client authorities.
ROLE: Childcare Advocate

Key Responsibilities
Advocate at all levels of the Family Court, Court of Protection and Education Tribunals
Work closely with the childcare lawyer who has conduct of the case
Assist in case preparation and strategic planning to achieve the best outcome for the case
Cover hearings on behalf of the whole team
Requirements
Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of experience in public children law
Extensive knowledge of the Family Court, Court of Protection and Education Tribunals

Contract Details

All staff are expected to attend the office when business needs require and to spend at least 40% of their working time in the office (measured over a 4-week period). Reporting the effectiveness of the service to clinical governance and other performance related meetings
Advocate and promote the role of OT within the acute/PICU setting
Form positive working relations with the wider MDT
Up skill and develop the OT workforce
Embedded up to date practices and evidence based research into the service from an OTs perspective
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
An understanding for the therapy pathway to support the patient journey from admission to discharge
Able to meet the changes of the patient groups needs whilst also establishing stability through purposeful and meaningful activity
The drive to change and continuously improve whilst being able to communicate the need for improvement through evidence and data
The successful Lead Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £43,742 - £50,952 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:
